The Customer Service Trick

That’s what this technique allows you to do.
Here’s how it works…
Think how many emails you receive daily from interested prospects. Now, compare that to the number of individual sales you receive. Do you see a discrepancy? Chances are, you’re receiving many more emails than sales. What’s more, you’re letting interested leads slip through the net and losing precious sales.
To remedy that, just follow these steps…

1. Dump your email address! Email is an ineffective way to deal with customer queries, especially when your business grows and you start hiring more employees. Instead, opt for some kind of online support desk solution like DeskPro. Or, if you’re on a budget, at least use an online form script (which you can pick up from a site like HotScripts.com free of charge) to handle the sending of email and support queries from your website.
2. When your support queries are all online, it means you have more control on the sending and receiving of your client’s messages. If you have an email address in plain view, it’s open to abuse, spam, junk and can seriously bog down your schedule.
By having your support queries online via a form, you can capture key pieces of information on your clients, and add them to a prospect database (like their name, email, address, etc). I prefer to use a web-based support system because of the fact that I can control and track all queries over the ‘Net.
3. Now, here’s the great part. Because it’s all online, you can add “terms and conditions” of support. In other words, you can tell your prospects and clients under what circumstances you’ll offer free support, how long it’ll take for you to get back to them, and, the price for having you support them.
That’s right! The price. In the case of this strategy, your prospects must agree to signing up to your announcement list in order to have you support them. So, every email you are sent, you can add your prospects to your email announcement list.
By doing this, not only are you eliminating junk email (by keeping it all online, you’ll hardly ever get anyone who goes through the trouble of sending you an ad through your site), but you also gain more control on how mail is sent to you — and as a result, are building an automatic prospect list!
That’s all there is to it! Tell your subscribers that in return for offering them free support, you’ll send them a periodic email announcing new products/services that your company sells. Give them the same rights as every other opt-in prospect (i.e. they can opt out whenever they want, etc).
